Calling ALL Mothers! Advice, PLEASE!!!!!

Well, I've heard that putting your child's carseat in the middle (away from the doors) is the safest. But, the middle seatbelt in our car doesn't hold the carseat base still very well. Should I just put Ashlynn near one of the doors, where the seatbelt holds her still? Or should I keep her in the middle and let her tip sideways?

"Mom? What's going on?"

"Did you take that turn too fast again??"

I had the exact same problem!
Babies R Us sells this safety clip thing - its like this metal H shaped thing sort of..
Anyways it hold the seatbelt really tight together so that the carseat doesn't slip.

And the great thing is that it only costs $2-3!!!

Oh - but they probably sell them anywhere you can buy carseat accessories!

H Clip should have come with your car seat. Look in the back of the carseat, sometimes they attach it in the back. If you cant get it to stop moving, the side is just fine.

Lol! I don't know. We never had that problem. Cute pictures though! Sorry, I'm not being helpful. I'd say move her to one of the sides if you can't get the problem fixed.

Umm, seriously! Tha tnever happened to us! But definatley put her in the side are by the door. If you put her in back of the passenger seat, you can still see her when you drive! Not safe like that in the middle!

How funny Jamie! I have to ask, "Did you read your carseat manual?" lol I know that they are a bore, but I guess they are there for a reason. :) We loved having Tatum in the middle until he got to heavy to lift him and the carseat into the middle. Sidenote: We live by the H clip and although they are a little tough to get the right tension in to rebuckle, they are so worth it! Especially for the cuties.

The carseat was from a cousin (or two) so no manual or hidden, unused clip, so I guess I'll go looking for that H clip today. :) Heheh. Thanks y'all.

Ya know Jamie I would put her by the door. If your car is older (like ours was) the clip doesnt work any way. Also you can take the car in with the seat to a police station and they can get the base in for you. It should be free as well. Good luck
